Heather Roeder

Dr. Roeder’s connection to our hospital began long before veterinary school, when she worked here while growing up and first developed her passion for veterinary medicine. She went on to attend Hamilton College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a minor in Ethics. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. 

Dr. Roeder is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian and has professional interests in public health, epidemiology, client education, and helping families better understand and care for their pets. She is especially excited to return to a rural practice and serve the people, animals, and community that helped shape her path into veterinary medicine. 

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Roeder enjoys hiking, biking, reading science fiction and fantasy novels, playing video games, and spending time with her family and her three cats.
